Well I survived another half day with the kids. The weather on Wednesday was super cold and really windy so we had to stay inside so I made sure I planned ahead and was ready to entertain my kids. I went to target earlier that morning and bought some play dough for the kids to do and a box of Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheat's cereal because I found a recipe the other day that I wanted to try. I must say that the day was a success and the time flew by. I actually sat down and played with the kids and made some things with the play dough and I was really impressed with the their imaginations. Haylee made a really cute hamburger that looked real. I made a girl and then we thought it would be fun to put play dough on Luke. I think that we sat and played with it for 2 hours!!!! When we were done with that it was time to move on to the cookies. The recipe was a peanut butter cookie but it was made with crushed up mini wheat's. I thought they were super yummy and was just proud of myself that I ate only 3. I need to get rid of the rest of them though because they are very tempting. I am already thinking of what I am going to do next week. I hope that we will have better weather because that makes things so much nicer. What am I going to do in the summer???? I will have to take a visit to Arizona and Vegas right:)

Before and After
I cant believe that my 9 year old has to wear glasses. It just seems so crazy to me. Haylee came home a couple of weeks ago from school with a not from the school nurse saying that she had a hard time on the eye exam and that we should check it out. So that is what I did. I took her last week to the eye doctor to get an exam that I must say was very thorough and sure enough she is near sided and has to wear glasses. We just got home yesterday from Arizona and this morning when she woke up she was right by my bed asking if we could finally go and pick up here glasses. I think she looks super cute with them although I do wish she didn't have to have them but she loves them and thinks they are the coolest things ever. By the end of the night she was complaining of a headache so she will have to adjust.

Leprechaun Trap
So Haylee came home last week with a school project to do. Apparently there are Leprechauns running around there school and they were to come up with a trap to catch them and then write two paragraphs telling how the trap works and what they would do if they caught one. I told Seth that he was all over this one. We went out to Michael's to find the stuff we needed and I found some stuff in my scrapbook area and they were ready to start. Seth brought home a box that was perfect and Haylee had fun painting it green. I got to make the Lucky Charms path on the side and made the cute four leaf clovers that are sticking up. We found some cute little coins to put in the pot that Haylee painted black and we glued on of the coins to a string for the trap door. We actually all had a really good time making this and I think it turned out pretty cute. Luke got a blister from the glue gun but was excited to put a band aid on it so that was okay. I have to tell you what Haylee put down in her paragraph of what she would do if she caught a Leprechaun. First she would tell him to take her to his gold and give her three wishes. So her first wish was that she got to have 3 more wishes.
Second was to have a pet bunny(thanks Jen). Third was to have a pet pony. Fourth was to get Rock Band. And of course last was that she wants a baby sister. Seriously she would be so happy if I made that one come true. Anyways here are some cute pictures of the project.

Hoots
Have I mentioned yet on my blog how much I do not like having half day school days. Well I am saying it now. Every Wednesday is half day here and the kids get out at noon. Wednesdays are such long days for us all. I have really been trying to take the kids to do fun things on those days and take advantage of the weather. Last week went to a couple of parks and I had bought a Frisbee to throw around. The kids had alot of fun but this week was much better. I found a coupon to get one kid in free to this big jump place and I thought they would have so much fun. The place is called Hoots and they have quite a few huge jump things and slides that the kids could go crazy on. Within the first 10 minutes Haylee and Luke were sweating up a storm. I even took my shoes off and played around with them and went down the slides. It was super cheap and now that I know how to drive there I will totally go again.

Fresh Air!!!
We finally made it out of our house Saturday afternoon!!!!! Haylee got sick last Friday and was out of school for a week and so of course that means that Luke got sick and was home a couple of days and then Seth and I got the tail end of it. I have learned so many things in that short I mean long week of sick kids.
1. Having a 2 story house with the master bedroom on the main floor is not fun when
you have to get up every 2 minutes to make sure everything is okay and the kis have
what they need.
2. Not having insurance is very stressful and I cant wait until Seths 90 days is up
so I can take my kids to the doctor when needed.(even though there wasn't anything
a doctor could do for me because it was viral but still...)
3. How thankful I am to my Uncle Bob who is a doctor in Arizona that put up with me
calling him at 1:00a.m. to see what I should do and all the other times I called
him. He was so nice and reassuring that everything that was going on was normal.
4. How grateful I am for my friend Tracy who I also called at 1:00a.m. to see what I
should do.
5. How grateful I am to be in the ward that I am in. We have a doctor in our ward
as well and he was kind enough to let us come to his house and check out my kids.
He was very helpful and gave lots of good advice and again reassured my that it
was all normal.
6. Praying to our Heavenly Father works! He listens to our prayers!!!!!
I know you all think that I am crazy but seriously I have never had kids that sick before. We have had like the little 24-48 bugs but not this viral thing. Anyways I will also admit that I am a spaz and freak out when kids get sick too. I am glad to say though that things are on the up. Haylee still has a horrible cough but her throat is better and Luke is pretty much the same. Seth doesn't have a voice right now and I just have a raw nose right now but am doing fine.
So my point to this post is that yesterday we thought we would take the advantage of getting out of the house for the first time in a week and we decided that we weren't strong enough for something to physical so we went to see where the temple was. It was so pretty and just peaceful where it is located. The kids were hoping that it had a visitors center like the Mesa Temple but that was a no go. Anyways we just walked around and took a few pictures and then went to get a bite to eat. When we were done with that I took Haylee to the mall to buy Haylee a new pair of earrings that I had to bribe her with just to take some medicine earlier in the week. I was desperate..... When we were done with that we went to go see Bolt at the dollar theaters. By night time Haylee went to bed with a bad tummy ache and a headache and Luke was coughing up a storm. It was still worth it. The fresh air was so nice and the sun was nice as well. Lets hope for good things this week and I look forward to lots more fresh air.

Trampoline!
I have been searching on craigs list for awhile now to find my kids a trampoline. Our backyard is really big but it is just all rocks so I thought that a trampoline would be the best thing for the kids. I love trampolines and think they are such great exercise and you never know I may layout and try to get a tan this summer on it. Anyways I was checking craigs list every couple of hours to see if one would pop up(I wanted on that was bigger than 12ft). Well just as I was going to bed on Thursday night someone posted this square trampoline with the basketball hoop on it and all the pads and enclosure includes. It was a smokin deal so I was anxious to call on it first thing Friday morning. When I called that morning it was still available so I told the guy I would be there in an hour to pay him the money and that when my husband came home from work we would come and pick it up. So that's what I did. My friend Tracy was nice enough to help me find my way to the house and the deal was done. It was kind of funny because when I went back that night to pick it up the guy had said that he could have sold it 15 different times. I'm telling you it was such a great deal and I am looking forward to all the fun jumping basketball games to be. I will say though it was such a pain to put it up without directions. I think we finally got it done in about 4 hours but it will be worth it.
I am trying to be brave to do a back flip so if I do it I will get it on my camera and show all of you!!!!

New Bikes!
We had to be really choosy at the end when we were loading the moving truck and realizing that there was no way we were going to be able to fit all of our stuff in. Well we sacrificed the kids bikes. They were super old anyways and Haylees seat was broken on hers and Lukes was a hand me down from a friend. When we got to New Mexico and saw all the fun bike trails we knew it would be a priority to get the kids bikes asap. We went to Walmart yesterday and the kids got to pick out new bikes and couldn't wait to go for a ride when we got home. Seth and I had to air up our tires on our because they haven't been used in so long and then we were off. We found a really long trail that had some pretty steep hills and it was so fun going super fast. Luke has just a couple of falls and Haylee was a big chicken going down the hills so she put her brakes on most of the time. Poor Luke didn't realize that after we went down the hills we would have to go back up. His little legs just couldn't do it so he walked it most the way up. Next time they will think a little harder about which trails we do. We are thinking about riding our bikes along the Rio Grande River next weekend. We have heard it is really fun and that it is pretty flat. We also have heard that it is about 15 miles long and puts you out by the Albuquerque Zoo. Cant wait. Just hope the weather will be nice.

I have survived!
I cant believe that it has been two weeks that I have been here already. Things have been so crazy and I am so glad that I am starting to feel a little more settled. First off I have to say thank you to everyone that helped us pack up the truck. That was super helpful and we were very grateful. The drive to New Mexico was long but I managed to drive the whole way by myself. The kids had so much fun driving in the uhaul with Seth and then Haylee spent some time in my in-laws car. I just put on my zune and had a bag of sunflower seeds and I was good. It took us about 12hrs so I am sorry to say that I don't have any trips planned in the near future to vegas! We had so much to do when we got here that I couldn't even think straight. Our fridge that we brought with us ended up having a horrible smell in it that we could not get out so we had to buy a new one and that took a couple of days so we were all tired of eating fast food. I couldn't wait to make a homemade meal and I am sure my kids felt the same way. However I did learn a lesson that you don't leave the men to pick out the fridge for you. Seth called me from work and said that he bought a silver fridge from Lowes and we would get it in a couple of days. I don't know if anybody else would freak out but seriously silver. To my surprise I do like it and it looks really nice in our kitchen.
We also had to deal with only having one vehicle for awhile. Seth went back to work on that following Monday but before he did we went down to register the kids for school so they could start on Tuesday. Well I thought for sure it wouldn't be that bad to have to walk the kids to school for a couple of days until we got a car but of course Tuesday was so cold by the time we got half way there Luke was in tears because his ears were burning. That afternoon it started to snow so I made sure that when I went to pick them up I packed hats and gloves for them. We will buy winter coats for next year. Finally the day came that we went looking for a car. We bought a minivan and I love it. It has power everything and just rides so smooth. I think Seth was hoping that he would be the one to get the new car but I am so excited to have a van. Anyone can come and visit me and we will have enough room in our car now. We really are doing well. Our ward is really big and the primary is just amazing. I have never seen such a big primary. Haylee has already been to her first activity for activity days and she loved it. We signed her up for an art class after school on Mondays so she is excited about that. She has a super cute teacher at school and she is taller than her too. I think her favorite though has been playing with her old friend Adison. Lukes school teacher is super cute too so I am so relieved.
He keeps coming home and telling me that he likes to chase the girls on recess and he is so excited because they have 4 huge playgrounds to play on. They both have been doing fine and seem to be at the same level as the rest of the class so we haven't had to have extra homework to get them caught up. Seth seems to like his job but he just gets lonely. He doesn't know anyone yet so he has to go to lunch all by himself. So sad huh? He is frustrated that it takes him an hour to get home because people don't know how to drive here. It is true! As for me I am doing fine now that I have a fridge and can make meals at home and have a car to get out of the house and I just joined a gym and cant wait to start exercising again. It is a super cute town and I know that we are really going to like it here. This morning on my way to take the kids to school I saw a hot air balloon in the sky which apparently is very common to see. There just seems like so much to do with families and the weather I have heard is awesome. It has been nice having one friend here and she has been showing me the ropes so I am thankful for that. So far we have Haylee and Lukes rooms done and I think they turned out cute. I do like the house we are in. Its nice to have more room and I love having the master bedroom on the main floor and the kids upstairs. Oh I cant forget. The last piece to the puzzle was we got Internet TODAY. Yes it took two weeks but I am in business now. I will take lots of pictures and keep up the post.

Disneyland
Bet you were thinking that I would have a ton of really cute pictures to share with you all huh? Well I did and then I deleted them all the night we left Disneyland. I was in the hotel room messing around with the camera because it is new and somehow I erased all our pictures. I am so mad but we had such a great time and we will have the memories in our heads. I think we managed to do every single thing there is to do at the parks and then times that by two or three times. Luke got to dance with Marry Poppins, we got to see the new Pixar Parade, and best of all we got to see the Fantasmic show. That was so awesome I even got a little teary. It was so fun to have my sister and her family come with us and my kids loved being there with their cousins. I think that our favorite ride this year was the Grizzy River Run over at California Adventures. The kids loved getting wet because it was 86 degrees outside and we all packed for cold weather. And the adults just had fun trying to figure out which side to sit on to not get very wet. We all managed to be soaking wet and it was such a blast. That ride I think we went on 6 times. My sister and I have decided that the next Disney thing that we will do will be in two years for our anniversaries and we will go on a Disney Cruise. I cant wait. We will not be taking the kids with us!!!! Well like I said we had a blast ate lots of yummy but very overpriced food and made good memories:) (I also erased all our Christmas pictures)
